This event challenges teams to navigate their boats through a series of technical obstacles, showcasing their ability to master tight turns and quick maneuvers in accordance with official rules. It highlights the boats’ agility and the teams’ expertise on the water.

The Speed Record event at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge, inspired by the historic 1904 course, is a thrilling race against time. One by one, boats are timed over a 1-kilometre stretch between two marks, with consecutive runs in both directions. The winner will be determined by the best average time across all participants, as tracked by the official timing system. With additional runs granted at the organiser’s discretion, this high-speed challenge pushes boats to their limits in pursuit of record-breaking performances.

16 NM Speed Trial:

The 16NM Speed Trial at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge is an endurance test along a 16-nautical-mile coastal course between Monaco and Ventimiglia. Starting with a mass fleet start, all boats race against the clock to complete the course in the shortest time possible.
